Blog #4
I finished my portfolio. Or at least a first draft. I created the website with WordPress. Initially, it took me a while to figure out how to use the site, but once I figured it out, it was a mostly smooth process. I was tasked with embedding my how to video, and I struggled with that, but eventually I figured it out. I just had to upload the video to youtube, and that allowed me to embed the video. I’m a little shy about having to present that but it’s fine.
It took me a while to choose what photos to use but eventually I got it together. And I like what I’ve done. Honestly, I think if I hadn’t been so swamped with my other classes my photos would have been better, and I would have spent more time on them. It was really interesting looking back on what I’ve learned. I’ve learned about the rule of thirds.

I’m not sure what happened, but I didn’t intend to post this blog this way. This is the full version:

Honestly, I think if I hadn’t been so swamped with my other classes my photos would have been better, and I would have spent more time on them. It was really interesting looking back on what I’ve learned. I’ve learned about the rule of thirds. I’ve learned about how to use adobe premier. I’ve learned to pause and think critically about what I produce, and especially lately, about the ethics of it all. I was very surprised to find out how unethical Michael Moore could be in lecture, but then again, maybe I shouldn’t have been surprised. I bet a lot of the media world is that way.
I do think my photo a day improved. I think it would have improved more if it had been a photo a week. Then I would have spent more time on it.
